This Cookie Policy explains how Pixhelm LTD ("Qrcado", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on the Qrcado website and app. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They let a site remember your actions and preferences over time. We also use similar technologies such as local storage — for example, to remember whether you prefer light or dark mode. In this policy we refer to all of these as "cookies".
Categories of cookies we use
- Essential cookies. Required for the service to work — for example, to keep you signed in, secure your session, and remember basic settings. These cannot be switched off through our consent controls because the service will not function without them.
- Preference cookies. Remember choices you make, such as your theme (light/dark) and language, so we can give you a more consistent experience.
- Analytics cookies. Help us understand how the website is used so we can improve it. We set these only where you have given consent, where consent is required.
Note: aggregate scan analytics for your QR codes are recorded server-side and do not rely on placing cookies on the device of the person scanning your code. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Managing cookies
Where consent is required, you can accept or decline non-essential cookies through our consent banner and change your choice at any time via the consent banner, which you can reopen at any time from the “Privacy settings” link in the footer of every page. Nothing beyond the strictly necessary consent record is loaded until you accept, and withdrawing consent takes effect immediately. Separately, your browser stores your theme and language preference, which you can clear from your browser settings. QR codes you scan may lead to a hosted page whose owner has configured their own analytics — that is their page and their policy. You can also control cookies through your browser settings — including blocking or deleting them — though disabling essential cookies may stop parts of the service from working.
Third-party cookies
Some cookies may be set by third parties that provide services to us, such as analytics or payment providers. The third parties we currently use, and links to their own policies, are listed at Google sets advertising and measurement cookies (for example _gcl_au) through the Google tag, but only after you accept them. Our own consent record is stored in a first-party cookie (pxc_consent) and is set whichever way you decide — it holds only your choice, the date and a version, never an identifier, and it is never sent to anyone else. There are no social embeds. The Helpdash live-chat widget stores a conversation identifier so a reply reaches the right visitor. We do not control cookies set by third-party sites you reach by scanning a code.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as our practices or the technologies we use change. When we make material changes we will update the date below and, where appropriate, ask for renewed consent.
